I] Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program
Brief Description:

The JJ/WBGSP is open to citizens of certain developing countries with relevant professional experience and a history of supporting their countries’ development efforts who are applying to a master’s degree program in a development-related topic.
Subject to available funding, JJ/WBGSP offers scholarships for 52 Participating Master’s Programs in 27 universities in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Oceania and Japan in key areas of development, including economic policy management, tax policy, and infrastructure management.

Application Window #1 : 15-Jan-2024 To 29-Feb-2024
Application Window #2 : 25-Mar-2024 To 24-May-2024
Eligibility:
- Be a national of a World Bank member developing country.
- Not hold dual citizenship of any developed country.
- Be in good health
- Hold a bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree earned at least 3 years prior to the Application Deadline date.
- Be employed in development-related work in a paid full- time position at the time of submitting the scholarship application. Have at least 3 years of paid development-related employment since earning a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent university degree) and acquired within the past 6 years from the date of the application deadline.
- Not be an Executive Director, his/her alternate, and/or staff of any type of appointment of the World Bank Group or a close relative of the aforementioned by blood or adoption with the term “close relative” defined as: Mother, Father, Sister, Half-sister, Brother, Half-brother, Son, Daughter, Aunt, Uncle, Niece, or Nephew.
- Individuals who have previously been offered a JJ/WBGSP scholarship but declined it, or have previously received a JJ/WBGSP scholarship but did not graduate, are not eligible to apply again.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Economy class air travel between your home country and the host university at the start of your study program and immediately following the end of the scholarship period. In addition to the two-way air travel, scholars will receive a US $500 travel allowance for each trip;
- Tuition for your graduate program and the cost of basic medical insurance obtained through the university.
- While on campus during the scholarship period, a monthly subsistence allowance to cover all living expenses (accommodations, food, etc., including books). The amount of the allowance varies depending on the host country
The Scholarship not covers the following :
- Visa application(s) costs.
- Expenses to bring and/or support a scholar’s family members;
- Extra-curricular courses or training;
- Courses that do not meet the minimum credits required to earn the graduate degree;
- Language training not provided by the graduate program;
- Additional travel during the course of the study program;
- Expenses related to research, supplementary educational materials, field trips, participation in workshops/seminars, or internships; or
- Educational equipment such as computers.

II] The University of Otago International Research Master’s Scholarship
Brief Description :
The University of Otago International Research Master’s Scholarship provides funding to support international Master’s students studying at the University of Otago.
Eligibility:
- Obtaining their first Master’s qualification
- International students
- Undertaking a thesis-based Master’s
Selection is based predominantly on academic merit and the applicant’s potential for research.

III] Heinrich Boll Scholarships in Germany For International Students

Brief Description :
The scholarship department of the Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to graduates, and doctoral students from outside Germany.
Eligibility:
International Master Students who earned their University Entrance Qualification outside Germany.
One may apply before commencing Master’s Program or at any time up to the end of the first semester of the Masters Programme.
International applicants have to prove their proficiency in German. Good or very good knowledge of the German language is required (at least B2 Level or DSH2).
Application Deadline:
The application deadline is March 1st andSeptember 1st. Please note: We only accept online applications.
IV] University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF)
Brief Description :
Each year, more than $2 million dollars in university graduate fellowships are offered to full-time master’s and PhD students to recognize and support academic excellence. The fellowships are offered to students who have demonstrated superior intellectual ability and academic accomplishment.
Eligibility :
Students must have a minimum admission GPA of 3.0 to be considered for this award.

V] York university International Student Scholarships
Brief Description :
York University offers the Global Leader of Tomorrow scholarships and the international Entrance Scholarships of Distinction especially for international students who would like to take a full time undergraduate degree at university of York.
Eligibility :
- Must be an international student who is required to have a study permit to study in Canada.
- Must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at York that begins in Fall 2024.
- Must have applied to York directly from high school no more than two years after graduation, and have no previous degree university or college studies(not applicable to Tentanda Via Award)
- Must have an excellent academic record.
- Must have demonstrated leadership through community service or excellence in the arts, sports, or other areas of individual achievement.
- Must upload one letter of recommendation or other supporting documents.

VI] NottinghamDeveloping Solutions Masters Scholarship
Brief Description :
Developing Solutions is our flagship master’s scholarship, founded in 2001, for students from African, India, and other selected Commonwealth countries who want to pursue a Master’s Degree in the University of Nottingham and who want to make a difference to the development of key economic, environmental, structural, social, or political structures in their home country.

VI] WMF Empowerment Through Education Scholarships for Developing country Students
Brief Description :
- The Wells Mountain Foundation , through the Empowerment Through Education (ETE) program, provides undergraduate scholarships to developing country nationals to study in their home country or a neighbouring country.
- The foundation give preference to the students who are doing community service, therefore, all the scholarship participants are required to volunteer for a minimum of 100 hours a year.
Eligibility:
- Successfully completed a secondary education , with good to excellent grades
- Age 35 or under on 1-Mar-2024
- Will be studying in his /her country or other country in the developing world.
- Is Pursuing his/her first bachelor’s degree or diploma.
- Plans to live and work in his /her own country after graduation.
