The UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research (UGC-DAE CSR) is an autonomous institution established in 1990 by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to facilitate university research using mega-science facilities, such as neutron sources and synchrotrons, provided by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). Headquartered in Indore with centers in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Kalpakkam, it supports advanced material science, nuclear physics, and instrumentation research
