Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, established in 1991 to promote India's IT and IT-enabled services industry, with a focus on software exports, innovation, and startup support. It offers services like single-window clearance, data communication, and incubation facilities to foster the tech ecosystem, and it has significantly expanded its reach beyond major metros to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. What STPI does Promotes IT industry: STPI was founded to boost software exports from India and has since expanded its mandate to promote the broader IT/ITES/ESDM industry, innovation, and R&D. Provides infrastructure: It offers world-class infrastructure, including state-of-the-art incubation facilities in more than 60 centers located in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Offers single-window services: STPI provides a "single-window" service to simplify operations for software exporters. Supports startups: It supports startups through various initiatives, such as Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) in emerging technologies like AI, IoT, and cybersecurity, and a Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS).
