Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) (formerly JNPT), located in Navi Mumbai, is India's premier container-handling port, commissioned on May 26, 1989, to reduce congestion at Mumbai Port. Handling over 50% of India's containerized cargo, it features five terminals (NSFT, NSICT, GTI, BMCT, and NSIGT) and manages high-volume trade with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
